There are split-the-baby legal rulings that leave no one satisfied, and then there is the temporary restraining order issued yesterday in the Paramount–Warner Discovery merger case by Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín. The pause matters, obviously, but the more revealing part of the decision is that both sides can plausibly claim they got what they needed.
