I remember sitting in an agent’s office as a headline appeared on his screen revealing that CNN had dropped Kathy Griffin over her infamous tweet depicting a decapitated Donald Trump. “Well, that crosses the line,” he said. “But tell me where, exactly, is the line?”

That wasn’t some Fox News talking point, designed to exaggerate liberal hypocrisies or elicit white male grievance. It was a legitimate business question, and it’s one that is being asked with more frequency in executive suites and on Zoom calls all over Hollywood. Nobody seems to have the answer. Do you?
