Almost a decade ago, Brian Tyler Cohen came out of nowhere to build one of the most fearsome media machines on the progressive left, flooding his various channels with anti-Trump lib-rage explainer videos annotating the manic political news cycle for his millions of followers. His popular YouTube show, No Lie With Brian Tyler Cohen, has since become a destination for Democratic politicians—Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, you name it—who want to reach voters beyond the usual cable-news rodeo and boring press conference circuit. Just this past week, California Attorney General Rob Bonta appeared on Cohen’s show to rally progressive support for his antitrust lawsuit trying to block the ParaBros merger.
