The media business never actually takes much of a breather. After all, this industry practically invented the custom of burying a “restructuring” announcement at 5:58 p.m. on the Friday before Labor Day weekend. Nevertheless, in between Cannes Lions and Sun Valley, there are occasional lulls in the action before dealmaking ramps back up.
