The mystery of Rep. Tom Kean’s whereabouts was finally resolved today, when the New Jersey Republican returned to Congress following a previously unexplained four-month disappearance. In his brief remarks, Kean revealed that he had entered the hospital for testing several months ago and was diagnosed with severe depression. “As the over 48 million of my fellow Americans being treated for this illness have come to discover,” he said, “there is no timeline for healing. There is no timeline for recovery.”
